I am now reaching the end of my bootcamp journey, and about to give my final presentation on Monday. Out of all the bootcamps available out there, I chose General Assembly’s Data Science Immersive Bootcamp. Coming close to the end now, I can definitely say that this experience was 100% worth it. I’ve had many ups and downs, doubts, fears, and everything in between along this three-month-long journey. I can confidently say this experience has been life changing. For a really long time, I thought that data science was something far out of reach for me. I thought I’d have to go back to school, get my masters, or even a PhD to really call myself a Data Scientist. Thanks to General Assembly those limiting beliefs have all been dispelled.

What this course is and isn’t going to do.

The goal of this course is to teach you enough data science to be able to get you an entry level job. It also gives you a good enough foundation to further pursue your areas of interests. This course is more about breath than depth. You’re going to learn so much during this course that you won’t believe it’s all in just a span of 3 months. I knew zero about pandas, scikit-learn, deep learning, etc., when I first joined this course. Now I’m feeling confident that I can work my way through most data science problems…
